2. Soak Up the Sun on the Beach
You have to spend some time exploring the wide, flat stretches of sand on Isle of Palms. The gentle slope of the beach makes it ideal for walking, shelling, or setting up a beach chair for a relaxing nap listening to the surf.

No trip to Isle of Palms is complete without stopping at The Co-op. Famous for its legendary frozen rosé flights, this spot is a mandatory stop. Order a frosé flight to sample rotating seasonal flavors (like peach, frosé-a-rita, or strawberry) alongside one of their delicious deli sandwiches.

Head to the marina on the tidal marsh side of the island to rent stand-up paddleboards or kayaks. Navigating the quiet salt marsh creeks gives you a front-row seat to local wildlife, including coastal birds, egrets, and occasional dolphin sightings.

If you want an unforgettable adventure, book a boat excursion out to Capers Island State Heritage Preserve departing right from the Isle of Palms Marina.
Capers Island is an undeveloped, pristine barrier island accessible only by boat. As you cruise through the winding salt marsh creeks, naturalists will guide you through spotting bottlenose dolphins, coastal birds, and blue crabs. The highlight of the trip is stepping onto Capers’ famous “Boneyard Beach”—a beautiful stretch of shoreline dotted with bleached, weathered trees standing right in the sand and surf.
